Moments of terror in Sant'Arpino, in the Caserta area, where two thieves attempted to break into a home shortly after 21.15pm.
The attack was foiled by the presence of the owner's wife and daughter in the house, who, alarmed by the noises coming from the bedroom balcony, took refuge in the bathroom and alerted the police.
From the window they were able to see one of the criminals as he climbed over the external gate to escape. The thieves then disappeared into thin air before the arrival of the police.
The complaint of the father of the family: "In this area we feel abandoned"
“For years the Atellan municipalities have been in the grip of gangs that act undisturbed – reports the father of the family –. My wife and daughter are still shocked. We feel abandoned: the complaints pile up, but we see neither effective investigations nor real control of the territory. No roadblocks, no garrison”.
The man turned to MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli asking that politics provide concrete answers to residents of the area, who are increasingly victims of burglaries.
Europa Verde also intervened on the issue with Borrelli himself and Aniello Di Santillo, regional federal councilor: "Citizens cannot live in terror. Instead of strengthening the presence of the State, barracks and police stations continue to be closed. We need more agents, more patrols and a serious response to the criminal escalation that is affecting the Atellani Municipalities".
