Naples – The city of Naples celebrated the Festa della Repubblica with participation, in a ceremony that saw the participation of local authorities and citizens in Piazza del Plebiscito. The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, expressed his appreciation for the presence of citizens, underlining how the city “deservedly represented the June 2nd holiday”.

Concluding the ceremony, Prefect Di Bari declared: "Your presence here is a good sign. Today even Naples, which has the characteristic of a large welcoming city, has managed to worthily represent the celebration of June 2nd". A recognition of the city's commitment to celebrating the founding values of the Republic.
Peace and Freedom: The Words of Mayor Manfredi
Even the mayor of Naples and president of the Anci, Gaetano Manfredi, took part in the celebrations at the Imperial Forums, reiterating the importance of the anniversary. “The Republic Day is an important occasion to remember the principles of peace that are enshrined in our Constitution,” said Manfredi, recalling the message of President Mattarella.
The mayor then underlined that “peace represents the primary objective in our country, and a policy of non-aggression but of defense of the principles and values of freedom are one of the fundamental objectives of our country”.
