Silver Ribbons – Series of the Year
The prestigious title of “Series of the Year” was awarded to “M – The Son of the Century”, directed by Joe Wright and based on the best-selling novel by Antonio Scurati. The series, produced by Sky Original, has received widespread acclaim for its intense narrative and Luca Marinelli's masterful interpretation of Benito Mussolini.
During the Nastri d'Argento Grandi Serie 2025 ceremony, held in Naples at Villa Pignatelli, the award for Best TV Film was assigned to These ghosts!, adaptation of the comedy of the same name by Eduardo De Filippo, directed by Alessandro Gassmann and starring Massimiliano Gallo. The film, broadcast on Rai 1 on December 30, 2024, achieved considerable public success, recording an average of viewers equal to 17,9% share.

Massimiliano Gallo, the protagonist of the work, received his third award for an interpretation based on a text by De Filippo, after Filumena Marturano e Naples Millionaire!. During the award ceremony, Gallo underlined the importance of cinema as an industry, stating: “Cinema is not a favor, we are not trading, cinema is an industry. Enough with election spots. They say that they gave us 7 billion as if they were free, without saying that for every euro given we produce 3, so we have produced 21”.
Alessandro Gassmann, director of the film, highlighted the difficulties of the sector, declaring: "There are over 250 thousand workers in the related industries, over 60 percent are not working due to the slowness of the contracts, we know what is happening. We need openness, dialogue, we cannot resolve the situation with a head-on confrontation, but we need measure and balance".

Salvatore Esposito received a Special Award for his performance in Piedone – A Cop in Naples, an award given by the Film Commission Regione Campania on the occasion of its twentieth anniversary. Esposito was celebrated for having relaunched the popularity of the character originally played by Bud Spencer, significantly contributing to the series filmed in Naples.
