The Carabinieri of Ficulle and Montegabbione, in the province of Terni, have arrested three Romanian citizens – two women and a man, aged between 20 and 29 – accused of stealing cosmetics and foodstuffs from three supermarkets in the area.
The military's intervention was triggered by a tip-off: the three were intercepted while loading shopping bags into a car. Suspicious of the large amount of cosmetic products, the carabinieri proceeded with identification and search, finding additional personal hygiene items and food.
The investigations revealed that the stolen goods, with a total value of 900 euros, came from thefts committed in three different stores: two in Ficulle and one in Fabro. The three, domiciled in Naples and with criminal records, were subjected to the precautionary measure of the ban on residence in the province of Terni.
