Juventus turns another page. With an official note, the black and white club announced the consensual termination of the contract with Cristiano Giuntoli, until now the club's sporting director. A separation that came, as the press release states, "following a joint evaluation regarding future prospects and mutual needs", but which in fact represents yet another shake-up at Juve after a season marked by ups and downs, changes on the bench and strategies under continuous revision.
Giuntoli, who arrived in Turin after his triumphant experience in Naples, has not found the time and space to truly make an impact in an environment in constant transformation. His farewell, which has matured in recent weeks and was made official today, marks yet another passing of the baton in a management that continues to recompose and undo itself.
He's not the only one leaving Joints. Francesco Calvo, Managing Director Revenue & Institutional Relations, has submitted his resignation effective June 16, 2025 to embark on a new career path. Two weighty farewells, which add to an increasingly unstable management framework and which force Juventus to once again review its structures and strategies.
In the press release, the company finally specifies that, as of today, neither Giuntoli nor Calvo are owners of shares in the club. A technical detail that accompanies much more significant news: Juve is changing again, and it is doing so on the eve of a season that promises to be crucial for the definitive relaunch.
