Naples – "Pino è – Il viaggio del musicante," broadcast on Saturday, September 20, 2025, is one of the most anticipated and significant Rai events included in the 2025/2026 Rai schedule, revealed last week at the Naples studios. The show is part of the Prime Time section, directed by Williams Di Liberatore.
Conducted by Carlo Conti and Fiorella Mannoia, in the warm and sumptuous setting
as central as it is symbolic, Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples, is an important event
extraordinary importance, which takes place in a particularly significant year: 2025, when
Pino Daniele would have celebrated his 70th birthday, and ten years after his
disappearance.
Its humble and Neapolitan roots have left an indelible mark on the
world; Pino has traced an artistic path that continues to be commemorated, loved
and pursued. His sound continues to symbolize a precious legacy for our
Country, so much so that even the new generations of musicians consider it a point of reference
essential reference, a compass.
By virtue of this, the evening will see the participation of numerous protagonists of the world of music and entertainment, ready to share emotions, stories and songs to pay homage to a unique and unrepeatable figure.
The singer-songwriter Fiorella Mannoia, an emblematic and historical figure of Italian song, has
revealed what it means to take part in a project of such importance: "I'm happy to
being on that stage with Carlo Conti.
Every time I see him hosting, I feel calm. I know there is a solid shoulder next to me, someone who guides you in the right direction, who always remembers the right tone, with sensitivity – she explained – It has been ten years since Pino's death, and only his songs will be sung. It will be as if he were there with us, even if unfortunately he cannot be seen.
And it's even more significant because it falls in the very year he would have turned 70." Mannoia and Pino Daniele were linked not only by professional respect but also by human respect: "We had a wonderful friendship. I knew he loved me and I loved him.
We got to know each other better during that famous tour Francesco De Gregori,
which lasted several months. We really bonded there, and have continued to
to meet each other over time”.
A brilliant and sensitive man and for this reason crowded with lights and whirling corners in which only the most empathetic people could penetrate, understanding its preciousness and the intrinsic and innate underlying values that acted as the driving force behind every gesture or word.
“Speaking specifically of Pino the man, he had a difficult character. He knew it too, he admitted it openly. But every time I saw him get angry, it was because someone belittled the music – and concluded, Mannoia, underlining what she admired most about his personality – He had a very deep love for music and for his guitar. When he saw that it was belittled, he got really angry. That was the point that touched him the most, at least from what I saw”.
