Naples – A 45-year-old man, already known to law enforcement for specific crimes, was arrested by the State Police on charges of attempted aggravated theft and resisting a public officer. The incident occurred on Via Firenze, in the Vicaria-Mercato neighborhood.
Officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, conducting a patrol, noticed the man tinkering inside a parked car. The car had its alarm sounding and one door open. Upon seeing the officers, the 45-year-old attempted to flee, but was apprehended after a difficult operation.
During the arrest, officers seized a screwdriver and a flashlight. Subsequent investigations confirmed that the door lock had been forced. For these reasons, the man was arrested by the officers.
