A Carabinieri patrol from Ruviano turned a routine check into a lifesaving intervention, urgently taking a newborn baby in respiratory distress to Caserta hospital.

Carabinieri Rescue Newborn Baby in Emergency in Piana di Monte Verna: Swift Transport to Hospital
Around 20:30 PM yesterday, along Via Laurelli in Piana di Monte Verna, a Carabinieri patrol from the Ruviano station intercepted a broken-down car with a family in serious distress on board.
The driver, visibly agitated, called for help from the police, explaining that their newborn baby girl was not breathing and was showing signs of cyanosis. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, the Carabinieri immediately activated the Operations Center, obtained permission, and used emergency equipment to escort the family to the Sant'Anna and San Sebastiano Hospital in Caserta.
Thanks to the prompt intervention, the newborn was quickly taken to the pediatric emergency room, where she underwent all the necessary tests. Fortunately, after treatment, the little girl was discharged in good condition late that evening.
This episode demonstrates how the constant and prompt presence of law enforcement on the ground can prove decisive even in medical emergencies, transforming a normal patrol service into a race against time to save a life.
