Naples, nightlife pusher arrested

Naples – Carabinieri officers from the Naples Central Company conducted a wide-ranging operation in the heart of Naples' nightlife. The operation resulted in 44 identified individuals, 12 vehicles checked, and 14 fines issued for traffic violations.

During the checks, an arrest was also made. A 28-year-old man already known to law enforcement for his drug dealing activities was arrested. The young man, a frequent visitor to nightlife venues, was found in possession of 66 grams of hashish, 35 grams of marijuana, and €365 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.

He was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and is currently under house arrest awaiting trial. Investigations are continuing to track down his suppliers and client network.

Two people have been reported to the Prefecture for personal drug use. A 24-year-old man was charged: after failing to stop at a police checkpoint and fleeing, he refused a blood alcohol test.
