A brawl that broke out yesterday in Capri between tourists and souvenir shop owners has drawn the attention of local authorities. The prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, strongly condemned the incident, emphasizing that such incidents should not tarnish the island's reputation.

At the same time, he wanted to reassure everyone that the State is effectively present on Capri, thanks to enhanced security measures. Just a few days ago, a meeting of the Committee for Public Order and Security on the island was held, during which control strategies were strengthened.

Currently, over 80 video surveillance devices and dedicated roadside services are active to prevent and combat any form of illegal activity. The prompt intervention of law enforcement in the event of the brawl confirmed their commitment to protecting the tranquility and beauty of Capri's tourist and cultural heritage.
