Montesarchio: 23-year-old released from prison for extortion with a weapon and domestic violence

The Benevento Court released a 23-year-old man from Montesarchio, originally from Cervinara, from prison, placing him under house arrest. The judge granted the request submitted by his defense attorney, Vittorio Fucci.
The man is accused of attempted extortion of his mother, aggravated by the use of a weapon, and of aggravated mistreatment of his mother and siblings.

The arrest was triggered after the last alleged incident: according to the prosecution, after grabbing a kitchen knife, he allegedly put his hands on her face. "So you don't understand? If you don't give me the keys to the safe, the money, and the gold, I won't let you escape tonight... I'll kill you," he allegedly yelled at her.

When a younger brother intervened to defend the woman, the man punched him in the ribs. Finally, according to the reconstruction, he punched through a plasterboard wall and the bathroom door. Today, the Benevento Court, granting the defense's request, ordered the man's release from prison and placed him under house arrest.
