The Moscati Hospital in Avellino
Avellino – A 32-year-old nurse, nine months pregnant, died, along with her unborn child, after suffering a sudden illness at home in Mercogliano, in the province of Avellino. The woman, originally from Forino, was due to give birth on October 4th.
The young woman became ill late yesterday evening, suddenly experiencing severe abdominal pain that led to her losing consciousness. Her partner called for help, but the emergency medical team who attempted to resuscitate her were unable to save her and the baby she was carrying. The woman's body was taken to the morgue at Moscati Hospital in Avellino, pending an autopsy that will determine the cause of her sudden death.
The investigations will serve to answer several open questions and to verify whether there are any responsibilities.
