Injured foreign tourist rescued on the Path of the Gods

A foreign tourist was rescued after a fall along the Path of the Gods in Agerola, in the province of Naples. Due to adverse weather conditions and the terrain of the stretch, authorities activated a joint ground and air rescue operation.

The mission involved a ground team from the Campania National Rescue Service (CNSAS) and a SAGF airborne team, operating aboard an AW139 helicopter from the Naples Guardia di Finanza air section. Once located, the woman was stabilized by CNSAS paramedics and technicians; the SAGF personnel then proceeded to recover her using a winch.

The patient's survival was ensured during the evacuation; the operation brought the patient safely to the 118 emergency room, where she was handed over to medical personnel. The intervention was coordinated between the SAGF station in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi and the civil rescue facilities, with the support of the competent emergency management authorities.
