Via Salvator Rosa in Naples
Naples – The 42-year-old man who fired a gun yesterday in a downtown garage after arguing with the mechanic from whom he had purchased a scooter last January realized what he had done and presented himself to the Naples police station, accompanied by his lawyer. The victim was injured.
It all happened yesterday afternoon, on Via Salvator Rosa: the 42-year-old, with drug problems, had been complaining for some time about the defects of the scooter he had purchased and, as he also told the State Police officers, after receiving, for the umpteenth time, unwelcome responses, he went to get a gun and then returned to fire a gunshot at the ground – he said – solely for intimidation purposes.
The 42-year-old, who is being treated at a drug addiction treatment center and suffers from serious health problems, admitted his guilt in front of his lawyer, Giovanna Limpido: he was placed under arrest by the public prosecutor (the deputy prosecutor is Ivana Fulco and the charges are attempted murder and possession of a weapon) and then locked up in the Poggioreale prison pending validation of the precautionary measure by the preliminary investigations judge.
