Naples, Piazza Carlo III
Naples – The search is underway for a young minor who was involved in the attack in Piazza Carlo III two nights ago. The motive behind the wanted young man's stabbing of a peer in the face on Wednesday evening in Piazza Carlo III is already clear: not a random attack, but a simple story of jealousy.
The Carabinieri of the Stella Company are now hunting for the young attacker, probably the same age as the victim.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the incident stemmed from a scene initially thought to be normal: the seventeen-year-old, a student from Pomigliano d'Arco, was with friends when he approached a girl and exchanged a few words with her. Nearby, another young man observed the scene and, as has emerged so far, apparently did not appreciate the attention.
The boy approached, attacked the seventeen-year-old, and pulled out a knife. A single stab was inflicted to the left eyebrow: a few millimeters further and the weapon could have hit the eye. The attacker immediately fled.
The images from public and private cameras in the area have already been acquired by the military and could soon allow them to identify the alleged child stabber.
Friends accompanied the injured man to the emergency room at Villa Betania, where he was treated and discharged with a four-day prognosis and several stitches.
The incident occurred just 24 hours after another stabbing: a sixteen-year-old was shot in the back in Piazza Vanvitelli, in Vomero, following a trivial argument over a glance too often.
