A 27-year-old man was arrested in Porta Capuana, caught selling drugs, along with cocaine and heroin.

The Naples Police Headquarters' extraordinary operations against drug possession and trafficking continue. Yesterday, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station arrested a 27-year-old man, already known to law enforcement for specific criminal convictions, on charges of illegal possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The check took place in the Porta Capuana area, where the police caught the young man while, according to the reconstruction, he was making several sales of narcotics.

Upon seeing the officers, the 27-year-old attempted to quickly run away, but was caught and stopped. During the search, officers found nine packages containing cocaine, weighing a total of 1,45 grams, a package of heroin, and €60 in cash, divided into various denominations.

During the operation, one of the buyers was also stopped, found in possession of the dose he had just purchased. The 27-year-old was subsequently arrested and handed over to the judicial authorities.

The buyer, however, was fined for possession of the substance intended for personal use. The operation is part of the anti-drug dealing effort implemented by the Police Headquarters in the areas most affected by the phenomenon.
