Portici, 59-year-old man arrested for refusing to identify himself

Carabinieri officers from the Portici station arrested Claudio Caruso, 59, from San Giorgio a Cremano, already known to law enforcement, on charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a public official.
The man had resisted a Municipal Police checkpoint on Via Bellucci. It was 7:00 PM when the municipal officers attempted to identify him. Caruso refused to cooperate and resisted.
The Carabinieri officers, who intervened to assist him, subdued him and arrested him. The man is now at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
