San Gennaro, think about melting it, you think about donating it: open day at Monaldi

Naples: "San Gennaro, think about untying it, you think about donating it." This is the slogan chosen by the Colli Hospital to promote a new blood donation initiative, scheduled for Saturday, September 19th at the Monaldi Hospital in Naples.

The day coincides with the feast of San Gennaro, the city's patron saint, and aims to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of contributing to the maintenance of blood supplies. The appeal is open to both regular donors and those wishing to make this gesture of solidarity for the first time.

How to participate

The Monaldi Transfusion Medicine Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations are not required to participate in the initiative; simply show up at the facility during open day hours.

The Colli Hospital has also set up a reserved parking lot for donors. At the hospital entrance, you can ask the security staff for directions.

Upon completion of the donation, participants will be offered a free breakfast.
The initiative aims to combine the symbolic value of the feast of San Gennaro with a concrete and valuable gesture for the community: donating blood means helping to meet hospital healthcare needs and helping patients in need.
