Caserta – A nocturnal recklessness that turned into a judicial own goal. The operation, triggered by a report of bottles being dangerously thrown from a balcony, led to the arrest of two young men, both of Tunisian origin (born in 2004 and 2006) and already known to law enforcement.
Alerted by residents fearing for public safety, the officers promptly responded to Via Mazzini. Once on site, suspicious of the two men's behavior, they decided to extend their investigation, investigating the situation further with a personal and home search.
The investigation proved to be well-founded: a total of approximately 160 grams of hashish were found inside the apartment – divided into doses, including a block labeled “Dry Sift 2026 – Pink Lemon” – and 2,5 grams of cocaine, also ready for sale.
In addition to the narcotics, 845 euros in cash was seized, believed to be the probable proceeds of the illegal activity.
Following the standard investigations, the two young men were arrested on serious suspicion of illegal possession of narcotics. By order of the judicial authorities, they were taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, pending a validation hearing.
The operation is part of the widespread and daily surveillance of the territory carried out by the Caserta Carabinieri. The suspects remain presumed innocent until a final conviction is handed down.
