Two young men lost in the mountains of Avellino were found safe and sound by Alpine Rescue.

Robbers in action

A frightening night for two young people, one a minor, who got lost in a mountainous area near Quadrelle, in the province of Avellino, ended without injuries. They were found in the past few hours by the Alpine and Speleological Rescue team.

The two had lost their bearings and spent long hours out in the open, in a remote area. After contacting them by phone, the Alpine Rescue operations center was able to geolocate them in the Petraruola area.

A rescue team arrived in an off-road vehicle. Despite the cold and the time spent outdoors, the boys had no health problems or injuries.
Once accompanied down the valley, they were handed over to the Carabinieri, who returned them to their parents.
