Sit-in in Sarno against illegal dumping: tomorrow, "Feet in the water, hands on the future."

Sarno – Tomorrow, October 3rd, at 12:00 p.m., a sit-in called "Feet in the Water, Hands on the Future" is scheduled for Via Sarno Palma 138, near the La Doria plant. The initiative is part of a civic campaign assessing the current state of the Sarno basin and its tributaries, calling for stricter controls on industrial facilities and the immediate closure of illegal dumping sites.

The event will be attended by prominent representatives: Green-Left Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who conducted inspections along the river even barefoot, and environmental lawyer Fabio Armano. They will be joined by another environmental activist, Roberto Robustelli, involved in investigating and documenting possible illegal dumping.

Borrelli explained that the goal is to document all illegal conduct and formally file complaints with the judicial authorities. "Whoever poisons the Sarno River poisons the future of our land and our children," the politician declared, calling on citizens and associations to unite to break the wall of silence and fight ecocide and eco-mafia that affect public health.

The organizers describe the initiative as part of an ongoing effort to ensure inspections of industrial sites, user censuses, and the immediate closure of all illegal dumping sites that continue to plague the Sarno basin.
