NLate yesterday morning, after the request for intervention by the Bucciano (Benevento) traffic police who reported an attempted scam against a 77-year-old local woman, the Montesarchio Carabinieri and, in particular, their colleagues from the Airola station, in the Benevento area, reported a 31-year-old criminal and a 23-year-old woman, both from the Naples area, who are considered responsible for the crimes of attempted scam in competition. In detail, the military found that the two, shortly before, had driven to the old woman's house, who was already ready to deliver the sum of 4.800 euros as payment for a package ordered by telephone in the name of her nephew and which would arrive by courier. The suspicious behavior of the two was, however, noticed by a citizen in the area, who notified the traffic police, who then sent a report to the Carabinieri. The military immediately began searching for the car, which was located shortly after with the couple on board. During the search, two packages wrapped in Christmas paper and transparent adhesive tape were found, all of which were seized. A proposal for the issuing of a mandatory expulsion order was forwarded to the accused.
