Caserta, damaged grates and pedestrians end up in potholes. The complaint of a citizen who was injured. Europa Verde: "We asked the municipality to intervene before someone can get seriously hurt."
NIn the market area of Via Ruta in Caserta there are some damaged road gates that have already caused several accidents.
“The other morning, walking down that road, I ended up in the hole because the grate wasn't secured. I hurt my hand and my knee, which swelled up, I'll have to have an MRI. I was told that other people, like a lady, hurt themselves there in the same way.” - Giuseppe told the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“We took action by contacting the Municipality of Caserta, explaining the problem and requesting repairs and safety measures before other people get hurt, even more seriously. These are simple measures that cannot be overlooked” – commented Councilor Borrelli.
"The images that have reached us worry us and demonstrate the neglect of a place that is visited by hundreds of people every week. The safety of citizens comes before any other work, therefore I will be careful to go and check the place and urge the Administration to ensure that the drains are restored quickly." - continued Rita Martone, commissioner of Europa Verde of Caserta.
