The new bishop of Caserta, Monsignor Pietro Lagnese, has inaugurated his ministry in the diocese of Caserta.
IThe prelate chose the Sant'Anna and San Sebastiano hospital as his first stop, where he met, welcomed by the general director Gaetano Gubitosa, doctors, nurses, patients and new mothers with newborns. "We pray continuously for doctors, and I will remember those who have passed away in this evening's mass," he told the health workers.
Monsignor Lagnese then went to the hospital chapel where he remembered his predecessor, Monsignor Giovanni D'Alise, who passed away from Covid and blessed those present. Also present at the visit was the apostolic administrator Tommaso Caputo, who directed the diocese in recent months.
