Naples. Carabinieri sweep checks. Reports but also Covid fines. 5 boys caught playing soccer
Cblanket checks ordered by the provincial command for the Carabinieri of the Naples Poggioreale company. The military of the Arma – 40 in all – combed the streets of the neighborhood.
This night, however, around 23:30 pm, the Carabinieri of the Naples Poggioreale company – alerted by 112 – intervened in via Leto Pomponio in the Ponticelli neighborhood. A soccer match had been reported at a sports facility. 5 people were identified, all fined under the anti-covid regulations.
The 41-year-old manager of the facility was also fined after admitting to having made the playing field available. The facility was closed for 5 days.
Long-distance services will continue in the coming days.
189 people were identified (88 of whom have previous police records) and 142 vehicles were checked.
During the operations, the Carabinieri reported 6 people: 1 man found in possession of a switchblade, 1 illegal parking attendant, 1 boy who in via Taddeo da Sessa violated the “urban daspo” to which he was subjected and 3 drivers found driving without ever having obtained a license with repeat offences in the two-year period.
There are 20 traffic violations for a total amount of almost 23 thousand euros.
Three citizens who were not wearing the required mask were also fined for complying with anti-covid regulations.
The service also saw the Carabinieri engaged in checks on citizens subjected to measures limiting personal freedom: 35 people were “interested”.
