1100 packages of turkey seized with an irregular label.
E' this is the result of a blitz by the central inspectorate for the Repression of Fraud in Campania in San Salvatore Telesino, in the province of Benevento, and concerning the products of a company with registered office in the Caserta area.
As it turned out, the product label generically indicated “turkey breast” even though it was actually a food preparation based on turkey breast, but with the addition of other ingredients, such as breading or various additives.
In short, the necessary information to the consumer was missing on what was actually contained in the packages with possible health risks, for example regarding allergens. The goods, worth 1300 euros, were subjected to administrative seizure.
