May 1: Naples strengthens controls and public transport
"This morning the operational table was held at the Police Headquarters to also coordinate the operational resources of the Local Police and the Civil Protection of the Municipality, useful for offering maximum support to the activities, coordinated by the Police Commissioner, of control of the places identified by the mayoral ordinance on the access routes to the sea and to the most attractive places in the city. The table, as is known, incorporates the indications of the Public Order and Security Committee chaired by Prefect Valentini and the Mayor de Magistris".
This is what we read in a note from the Municipality of Naples. "We appeal to the sense of responsibility of our citizens to not nullify the results achieved by the collective efforts of the difficult period of forced closure in order to reopen in safety, as long-awaited as necessary. We will be on the field with all the resources of the local police and civil protection available to citizens and to intervene, where necessary, in order to give the maximum necessary support", say the councilors Alessandra Clemente and Rosaria Galiero. Public transport has also been strengthened thanks to the initiative promoted by the competent Department.
“I invite those who intend to go to the city centre or to the seafront areas to leave their cars in the car park on Via Brin and to use public transport which, on the occasion of the Christmas holiday, May 1 will be strengthened – adds the councilor for Public Transport and Mobility Marco Gaudini. - In fact, to deal with the increased demand for mobility from the Brin parking lot towards Beverello-via Caracciolo, a 'reinforced' line 154 is planned with a frequency of around 10 minutes on the Brin-Municipio S. Lucia section. The line will be in uninterrupted service between 8.00 and 21.00. The
In addition, line 4 will be strengthened with three additional trams and the preferential lane of the coastal axis will be manned by parking wardens, in synergy with the local police, to ensure maximum fluidity of public transport.
