Naples. Two violent but reckless Rolex robbers arrested: one loses his smartphone while fleeing and it was easy for the carabinieri to track them down and arrest them.
Following the investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples, the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Naples Central Company have arrested, in execution of the precautionary measure of pre-trial detention in prison, two Neapolitan criminals, aged 23 and 37, seriously accused of robbery and injuries against a group of tourists.
On the evening of last June 2nd, four tourists - 2 Emilian professionals with their respective wives – were walking away from the restaurant Spanish Quarters of Via Speranzella where they had just had dinner. A scooter with the thieves. One of the two, getting out of the vehicle, first pretended to ring the bell of a nearby door and then approached one of the male tourists. He grabbed his arm and Rolex snatched from wristIn the excitement, he pushed the other tourist, causing him to fall to the ground and thus causing him a dislocation.
During the escape, however, the robber inadvertently lost his smartphone, acquired by the Carabinieri andwho intervened on site and immediately started the investigations.
The statements of the people involved and the analysis of the video surveillance images of the area have allowed us to reconstruct the facts by identifying the scooter used by robbers until they reached their identificationThe suspects, both with criminal records, were locked up in the Poggioreale prison.
