This is what emerges from the analysis of Coldiretti, in reference to the yellow alert triggered for the risk of thunderstorms in Basilicata, Calabria, Puglia and Sicily. According to the latest monitoring by Coldiretti on the effects of the wave of bad weather, hail damage has been recorded in Puglia on vineyards and olive groves between Grottaglie, Castellaneta and Manduria in the Taranto area as well as in the countryside between Torremaggiore and San Severo in the Foggia area and ice grains in Salento between Arnesano, Monteroni and Carmiano, in the province of Lecce.
In Molise the storms of wind, water and hail have razed dozens of hectares of vineyards and sunflower fields. In Campania, Coldiretti reports, in Gragnano entire bunches of grapes ready for harvesting were hurled to the ground by the fury of the bad weather, the olive groves and citrus groves of Amalfi were hit, with damage to plants and flowers and to greenhouses in the Stabia area and the Lattari mountains.
