Una donna di 89 anni e’ morta sbranata da due dogs of race Amstaff after having entered by mistake, in a state of confusion, into the courtyard of a villa. It happened yesterday evening in Sassuolo.
The Resto del Carlino reports it. The victim, Carla Gorzanelli, she lost her life a few meters from her home from where she apparently had moved away eluding the surveillance of the carer. The Police mobile squad, the Carabinieri and the scientific team intervened, in addition to 118 even if the elderly woman was already dead upon arrival.
The attack occurred in front of a little girl, who was in front of the gate of the villa waiting for her mother. According to an initial reconstruction, the little girl herself told the old woman “What are you doing here?”
The two dogs, it is assumed, could have attacked Carla Gorzanelli out of protective instinct towards the little girl. The old woman's son also arrived at the scene of the tragedy, looking for his mother who had left home: “She had never left the house, I don't know how it could have happened”, his words.
The scientific police and the coroner are also at work in the villa in Sassuolo. The investigators have examined the images of the cameras of video surveillance of the villa to understand what happened.
