According to the regional secretaries of Osapp Campania Palmieri and Castaldo “the problem is complex and widespread in all the institutions in Campania, and the technology made available to criminals has facilitated stratagems for the introduction of these micro smartphones and not only, even with the use of drones”.
“Minister Cartabia – the two trade unionists ask – with the help of Politics, it should implement reforms that find a balance between the rule and common sense, taking into account the institutional mandate of the Penitentiary Police Corps”.
For the general secretary of Osapp, Leo Beneduci, "the Penitentiary Police, forced to operate in the current conditions, cannot deliver what is expected on paper, but despite everything, with a strong sense of duty and spirit of sacrifice, it works in the collective interest for the safety of that society that would like other prisons. The applause goes, as always, to all those Penitentiary Police personnel who fight every day in a penitentiary system brought to its knees by so many cuts".
