Napoli. Last night, during their territorial control service, officers from the General Prevention Office, while passing through Piazza Garibaldi in the direction of Corso Arnaldo Lucci, noticed a man on board a car who, at the sight of them, fled despite having been ordered to stop.
A chase ensued which ended in via Ponte della Maddalena where the driver, after hitting the patrol car, tried to flee on foot but was only reached and stopped with difficulty.
PJ, a 27-year-old Albanian, was arrested for assault, resisting a Public Official and damaging property of the Public Administration; he was also charged with 3 violations of the Highway Code for lack of insurance coverage, fictitious registration of the vehicle and driving without a license since he had never obtained one.
