Ithe short film “Goodwill", of Gianfranco Antacido, is loosely based on the “death ambulance” case. Available for free on the online platform MYmovies starting December 31, in competition at the 26th edition of “Capri, Hollywood”.
"It's a tough, hard short that doesn't allow for indulgence in what it tackles.to – says the Neapolitan director born in '92 – the only way to realize this 'black' project was to take it with irony and lightness. Don't expect to see Gomorrah or Suburra or a gangster movie. Don't expect to see a left-wing, denunciatory or delicate short.
Expect to see the most sordid and submissive face of the criminal underworld. Expect to see the malice, the cynicism and the ruthless greed that makes colluding stomachs rumble. But above all, expect to see the madness of the human being capable of manipulating the perfect, or almost, mechanism of criminal activities".
The story is set in Castel Volturno in the province of Caserta, where a new operator arrives on board an ambulance, shy and awkward. This will break the balance within the vehicle until he discovers an unhealthy and collusive reality.
The protagonists, Maurizio Della Volpe and Michele Nunziata, are little-known faces so as not to distract the viewer from the centrality of the story. The cast includes Elena Maggio, granddaughter of the famous Pupella Maggio.
Produced by Alaska Film in collaboration with Sly Production, World Video Production and distributed by Premiere Film, “Buonacreanza” has already been selected at the Naples Film Festival and won the Cortodino Film Festival as best “Talento Campano 2021”.
