Le ultime restrizioni da Covid – mascherina e Green pass – rimarranno ancora per settimane nei luoghi chiusi. All’aperto, invece, l’Italia si prepara a respirare, sempre con l’occhio all’andamento dei contagi.
And one of the points on which the government would be oriented would be the stop of the obligation of Super pass for over 50s in the workplace: the 'basic' one could be enough. Two weeks from March 31, when the state of emergency will expire after more than two years, the government is preparing to launch new measures to ease the anti-pandemic rules. The green light should come from the Council of Ministers perhaps on Thursday, after a passage from the Control Room; tomorrow at noon the Conference of the Regions will also meet, which should present proposals to the government on the contents of the emergency exit measure.
Meanwhile, today Prime Minister Mario Draghi met at Palazzo Chigi with Health Minister Roberto Speranza, together with the coordinator of the CTS Franco Locatelli and the president of the ISS Silvio Brusaferro. The meeting, which was also attended by Undersecretary Roberto Garofoli, would have discussed the road map. In general, from what has emerged so far, from April 1st the obligation of the Green pass outdoors for restaurants and bars should fall, as well as the 'reinforced' one for local public transport.
For 'long' transport (such as planes, trains and ships) a negative swab could be required. The government is hoping for Easter holidays to relaunch the tourism sector: for this reason, from 1 April the pass should no longer be required for accommodation facilities, museums and exhibitions and commercial activities. Stadiums should return to 100% (but there is pressure for an exemption for the national team match on 24 March) while for sports halls the capacity should progressively increase.
With the end of the state of emergency, contact quarantines should also cease, even for the unvaccinated. The novelty will also affect schools, where – probably not immediately – the obligation to wear FFP2 masks should also disappear in favor of surgical masks. In general, from what emerges, faces will still have to remain covered in closed spaces for a while. The commissioner structure will disappear on March 31.
For the post-Figliuolo era, two hypotheses are circulating: the functions could pass to mission structures within the Ministry of Health or Palazzo Chigi, or pass to the Regions, including the purchase of vaccines. Goodbye also to the CTS, but Locatelli and Brusaferro should remain as government consultants. The debate between hawks and doves, however, is still open and in the majority some political forces are pushing for a rapid easing of the measures, in particular the Green pass. The Northern League governor of Veneto Luca Zaia said today, with respect to the restrictions, that "the time has come to abandon them all and rely on the responsibility of citizens".
There is even the hypothesis of a 'free for all' for asymptomatic positives, who therefore should not be subjected to isolation. And then there are the experts and technicians, who admit that "the epidemiological moment is confusing". For this reason, checks are not excluded in the middle of the month to understand if and how much to further ease the restrictions, such as the obligation of Green pass indoors or the use of Ffp2.
Measures that could come into play with the month of May and then progressively, gradually, with June: at concerts and stadiums, surgical masks should be enough, as well as on buses and subways, on planes and trains. Finally, June 15 is the other key date for Covid Italy. It is the one in which the vaccination obligation will expire and also the one - this is one of the hypotheses - in which the 'green certification' could really go into the attic.
