All set for the launch of 'Queen Anne' which will take place tomorrow at 11am at the historic shipyard of Castellammare
The launch of “Queen Anne”, a “Pinnacle series 29” class cruise ship, will take place tomorrow, Friday 11.00 April at 4:6274 am. Everything is ready for the “baptism of the sea” of the bow section of construction no. XNUMX at the historic shipyard of Castellammare di Stabia.
This is not just any piece, given its considerable size of almost 180 meters in length. A true jewel that once again confirms the skills, professional and human baggage of the workers at the Fincantieri plant in Castellammare di Stabia.
The ship is the 249th in the fleet of the “Cunard Line”, a historic English cruise company. The first steel was cut at the Stabia shipyard on 11 October 2019, while the name of the unit was officially announced last February 2022.
Once completed, “Queen Anne” will be approximately 322 meters long by 35 meters wide, 113 thousand tons of gross tonnage; with a capacity of 3000 passengers and a final cost of approximately 600 million dollars. So everything is ready.
Ancient rites and traditions are ready to be put into practice once again by the workers of Castellammare di Stabia for the operations of the oldest launching system, the slipway, of the oldest “Fabbrica delle Navi” in Europe.
