Comicon starts again, thousands in Naples at the Mostra d'Oltremare. Until the 25th also videogames, music and international actors
The rain did not stop thousands of kids, smiling faces and a riot of colorful costumes, from livening up the first day of the 22nd edition of Comicon in Naples, which returns after two years of Covid stop.
Many people flocked to the Mostra d'Oltremare, from the early hours of the morning, to be protagonists of the International Pop Culture Festival. Selfies, videos, comics and video games, debates but, above all, the desire to kick the pandemic and get back to having fun.
Until next Monday the Fuorigrotta area will be animated by the event that includes a dense program of entertainment. Comics and exhibitions to attract the attention of those who see in Comicon a tempting opportunity to reclaim a 'space' that is first and foremost a vital space, beyond the technicalities.
And so, next to the super expert in manga and the like, the aficionados of the console, what shines through the eyes of the kids - but there are also some dads and moms who are a little disoriented and a little amused - is the certainty of having regained a piece of life. The program? Of course it counts for the frequenters of the event and it is an important program: over 300 guests, 500 events and 350 exhibitors including comics, TV series and international cinema, video games, games, Asian Village, Neverland and Comicon Kids.
The role of 'magister' has been entrusted to Davide Toffolo, considered one of the cultural innovators who have marked with their work the development of Italian music and comics in the 2000s and who will be at the centre of numerous meetings and two exhibitions and will be the protagonist of a special concert by the superband Tre allegri ragazzi morti and Corveleno.
The festival poster with Pulcinella throwing off his anti-covid mask is signed by Frank Miller, the American cartoonist creator of Sin City, 300, Batman.
