DeLuca: "Campania suffers a robbery of 220 million euros every year in the context of the national health fund. In Rome everyone knows it, right, left and center but there is such a level of opportunism that everyone finds it convenient to turn their heads the other way".
This was stated by the president of the Campania region Vincenzo De Luca during a debate organized by Il Mattino at the Teatrino di Corte of the Royal Palace of Naples to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the birth of the newspaper.
“Campania receives less than any other region in relation to its population, we ask the minister for rigorous criteria,” De Luca said. “The disparity of opportunities for students and in healthcare between the north and the south of Italy remains. There are elements of mismanagement and charlatanism that concern the south and opportunism that concern the north.” On healthcare and education, De Luca stressed that “there are intolerable disparities and I say that simple answers are needed, giving the same resources to all citizens from north to south.
Campania suffers a robbery of 220 million euros less every year in the national health fund, everyone in Rome knows it but there is such opportunism in Italian politics that everyone turns their heads the other way. And so Campania remains the region that receives less than any other in relation to the population. We are fighting with the Ministry of Health on rigorous criteria because the disparity of treatment is no longer acceptable”.
De Luca also spoke about the project for greater autonomy of the Regions: "With Salvini - he said - we have often had different positions but I must say that we must relaunch this battle and I seem to have noticed timidity on the part of my fellow governors of the north. I push to open a discussion on autonomy, also remembering that in covid the Regions have done 99% of the work, while the central state is in default in the covid work. And the same thing happens with the Pnrr, in which without the contribution of the Regions we do not go far ".
