“Bufala Fest – not just mozzarella”, the event that from 9 to 17 July returns to the Naples seafront, offering the general public food stands with a gastronomic offering that ranges from mozzarella to buffalo meat, in all its variations, pizzas, desserts and much more, all made exclusively with products from the buffalo supply chain.
But the offer will not only be taste: Bufala Fest will also offer a wide range of shows with music and comedy, show cooking by great chefs and various thematic talks with operators, experts and representatives of the institutions.
“Bufala Fest – not just mozzarella” is organized by Diciassette Eventi, in collaboration with the Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Dop and the patronage of the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples.
The theme of the sixth edition of Bufala Fest will be sustainability. The Bufala Village 2022, thanks to the sensitivity of partners and sponsors attracted by the theme chosen for this edition, will be characterized by an engaging concept with the aim of promoting an idea of sustainable development, capable of satisfying the needs of the present without compromising future generations.
Supply chain sustainability is one of the topics that attracts the most interest today, a sustainable supply chain is an indicator of quality, well-being, economies of scale. The contest "I Sapori della Filiera" is back, involving hundreds of operators in the food sector including chefs, pizza chefs and pastry chefs, who will compete for the scepter of the best, proposing exclusive recipes, strictly based on products from the buffalo supply chain.
The exciting competitions will take place in a dedicated area, a real “Arena del Gusto” set up on the Lungomare di Napoli at the height of the Rotonda Diaz, which will also be a prestigious showcase for the food and wine specialties of the various supply chains involved.
The Arena del Gusto will also host show cooking by important chefs who will interact with the public at the event. Building on the success of previous editions, the next edition will also feature the Miramare Exclusive.
A luxury concept structure, designed to host gourmet dinners for partners who want to welcome their stakeholders in an enchanting and unique setting. New is the partnership with the “Dolce & Salato” Cooking School which, under the expert guidance of chefs such as Giuseppe Daddio and Aniello di Caprio, respectively of cooking and pastry, will coordinate all the tasting activities of the Bufala Village and will take care of the organization, in every detail, of the Miramare Exclusive.
Another great novelty is the partnership with the cultural association “Il Giardino delle Idee”, thanks to which the event will continue to be also “knowledge” and in a dedicated area of the Bufala Village it will promote and enhance the entire buffalo supply chain, involving journalists, experts and operators in the sector, including those of an international profile.
A series of thematic talks, coordinated by marketing manager Vincenzo La Croce, organized to contribute to raising awareness of the potential of the buffalo supply chain that could further increase the economic spin-off, with important repercussions on the territory. The various aspects of sustainability will be addressed: that of breeding, understood as the creation of the best conditions for the keeping of the animal; of agriculture, with research activities related to animal nutrition; of the environment, dealing, in particular, with the aspects of waste that can transform from potentially polluting into a resource; of the economy, with testimonies of circular economy of the supply chain.
Every evening, from July 9th to 17th, thanks to the work of the artistic director Francesco Sorrentino, Bufala Fest will offer its visitors free shows, with a program full of sounds and comedy able to satisfy the most diverse tastes. The stage that will be set up in the Bufala Village will alternate artists appreciated by the general public. Also this year there will be a union with art, thanks to the collaboration with “Fonderia Nolana – Del Giudice”.
In fact, Maestro Dario Caruso, an internationally renowned sculptor, who, among his many works, created the statue of Diego Armando Maradona, exclusively for Bufala Fest, a work of exquisite workmanship that recalls the values of sustainability and environmental protection. A special creation that will be delivered to all the partners who in various ways believed in and supported the VI edition of Bufala Fest.
