The secretary of the Democratic Party, Enrico Read, asked Francesco Boccia, head of Local Authorities and Territorial Autonomies of the party, to take on the role of party commissioner in Campania, Carlo Bettio, vice-head of Organization for Northern Italy, to take on the role of commissioner for Alto Adige and, finally, Matteo Mauri, member of parliament and head of Citizenship and Immigration of the party, to take on the role of PD commissioner for the Province of Caserta.
