The epidemic curve in Italy is decreasing but there are record deaths in the last 24 hours. Today there are 88.221 new Covid cases, compared to 23.699 yesterday but above all the 120.683 of last Tuesday.
The swabs carried out are 446.718 (yesterday 122.550) with a positivity rate that rises slightly, from 19,3% to 19,7%. Jump in deaths, 253 in the last 24 hours (yesterday 104), never so many since last February 22, even if with several recoveries of old notifications. There are 171.232 victims since the beginning of the pandemic. Intensive care is increasing, 8 more (yesterday +21): in total there are 426 with 61 admissions today.
The number of ordinary hospitalizations is also increasing: there are 43 more (yesterday +156), for a total of 11.124. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health. The region with the most Covid cases today is Lombardy with 13.130 infections, followed by Campania (+9.167), Veneto (+9.049), Puglia (+7.346) and Lazio (+6.892).
Total cases since the beginning of the epidemic rise to 20.772.833. Those discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 107.347 (yesterday 39.496) for a total that rises to 19.206.168. The currently positive ones decrease by 18.949 units (yesterday -15.483) and are in total 1.395.433, of which 1.383.875 in home isolation.
