Former President of the Campania Region and former Mayor of Naples Antonio Bassolino was the protagonist today in the arrest of a pickpocket.

It happened on bus 140 of the Naples Anm line that goes from Capo Posillipo to the seafront. It was Bassolino himself with a tweet posted on his profile to tell the story. A skilled pickpocket had stolen his cell phone from his jacket without him noticing. As luck would have it, a bus user saw the scene and alerted Bassolino.

“I managed to get it back by blocking the thief just before he got off the bus,” wrote the former president of the Region.
