Fabrizio Bosso, accompanied by Julian Oliver Mazzariello on piano, Jacopo Ferrazza on bass and Nicola Angelucci on drums, is among the five major Italian jazz musicians able to offer a show of international importance. Always eager for new experiences and new encounters, Fabrizio Bosso has enriched his language and his inspiration by collaborating with countless Italian musician colleagues and with many icons of international jazz (Gianni Basso, Enrico Pieranunzi, Rosario Giuliani, Rita Marcotulli, Enrico Rava, Charlie Haden, Carla Bley, Diane Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Maria Schneider…), with pop stars such as Claudio Baglioni, Zucchero, Renato Zero, with important orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra or the RAI Orchestra of Turin, as well as with some young talents, supporting them and giving them opportunities and visibility.
WE4 is the latest exciting work by Fabrizio Bosso's quartet, created immediately after the forced confinement due to the coronavirus epidemic. WE4 brings with it the awareness of the value of making music together and how this can become a project of deep sharing, which therefore continues beyond the stage. In the double live album "State of The Art", published in 2017, Fabrizio Bosso described the state of the art of his music, considering it in all respects the beginning of a new journey with three extraordinary traveling companions: Julian Oliver Mazzariello, Jacopo Ferrazza, Nicola Angelucci. After countless concerts around the world and years of continuous comparison, WE4 is therefore the complete representation, in sound, interplay and composition, of a total sharing. In the new repertoire, in fact, there are original pieces written specifically by each of them for this formation, a 4-hand composition by Fabrizio Bosso and Julian Oliver Mazzariello and two pieces that bear the signature of all four.
