Napoli. The Police Chief of Naples, on the proposal of the Municipal Police of Napoli – Department of Security – Local Police Service – Operational Unit for the Protection of Social Emergencies and Minors – PG Unit, has ordered the suspension for 60 days of the activity of serving food and drinks to the public at a bar in via Carrozzieri in Monteoliveto.
In particular, on the evening of July 9, the Local Police officers, during the control services set up in the “movida” areas, reported the owner of the business for having served alcoholic beverages to two boys aged 14 and 17. Furthermore, on June 18, the officers had already reported him because he had been caught while serving alcoholic beverages to a 15-year-old and again, on April 16, they had reported both the man and an employee for having, the latter, sold an alcoholic beverage to a 15-year-old.
In all the circumstances described, consumers had not been asked to show their identity document despite their physical characteristics indicating that they were minors.
Previously, on January 21, 2020, Local Police personnel had reported the owner's father for selling alcoholic beverages to minors under the age of 16; instead, on November 27 of last year, the owner of the business in question had been fined and, finally, on January 15, the owner's father had been fined for selling alcoholic beverages to two sixteen-year-old girls and for this reason, on March 9, the Naples Police Chief had ordered the suspension of the business for 30 days.
The measure, also in consideration of the repeated conduct harmful to the health of minors, is therefore aimed at averting a concrete danger to public safety.
