Positano, tourists report: “Insulted and beaten in a parking lot”. For one of the two women in the group, wounds that will heal in seven days; for the other two, only abrasions.
This is the story, with possible racist implications, told by five Belgian citizens, some of whom are of Chinese origin, visiting Italy and which led to the filing of a complaint with the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office against five people, a couple - according to the Italian lawyer following the case, Massimiliano Alosco - identified by the victims.
The facts date back to the early afternoon of July 26: the five tourists said they went to the parking lot to get their cars. Here they were mocked by those present: “If you don’t know Italian, don’t come here.”
And yet: “Get the f… out of my Moroccan”, referring to the oriental features of their faces. At this point, according to their story, they were surrounded and beaten: “They set their sights on one of the women among us” they told the lawyer chosen by the woman in question, who is a lawyer in Belgium and who was forced to go to the emergency room of the hospital in Vico Equense, transported by a 118 ambulance. In the report in the possession of the lawyer Alosco it is written that the woman “she reports an assault by an unknown person but whom she is able to identify.”
The diagnosis was “Lacerated contused wound of the nose and head trauma” and “other facial injuries, site unspecified, no mention of complications.” The patient refused “Crack CT, further tests and possible hospitalization.”
The next day the lawyer was given the task, and yesterday he filed a complaint with the Salerno Prosecutor's Office: “Against five people – says Massimiliano Alosco – some identified. In the meantime my clients have left Campania. They are scared”The hope is that images can be recovered that will allow the facts to be crystallized: “The victims of the attack – concludes the lawyer – They reported that there is an internal system in the parking lot. The hope is that those videos are still available.”
