Avellino. A 28-year-old man was attacked and stabbed at dawn today in Avellino. The stabs hit his abdomen and other parts of his body. His life is not in danger according to the health workers at the “Moscati” hospital in Avellino where he was transported immediately after the injury.
The victim also suffered wounds to the forehead and an ear. The episode occurred in the Parco Castagno apartment buildings in Rione Mazzini, in the center of the city. The alleged attacker, a 23-year-old who lives with his parents in a nearby neighborhood, who allegedly threw away the knife after the wound, was stopped by agents of the Flying Squad of the Irpinia capital. Investigators are reconstructing the reasons behind the attack.
