The investigation that yesterday led to the arrest of Leopoldo Marino and Carmine Pandolfi, both with criminal records and considered close to the criminal circles of the Vanella Grassi, in particular the subgroup attributable to the Raia family, aims to ascertain whether there have been other cases.
Other cases such as those of Salvatore Abruzzese, the 27-year-old who was under house arrest for drugs and confined to a wheelchair following an accident, had been kicked out of his home by the Camorra for a debt of a few dozen euros.
Abruzzese, known for having played the role of Toto in the movie Gomorrah di Matthew Garrone lived with his mother in a small apartment in the area of Smurfs Houses in Scampia.
Last July they were kicked out of their home after he had been beaten bloody for a debt of 60 euros. The perpetrators of the violent attack Leopold Marino e Carmine Pandolfi. “Carmine Pandolfi, nicknamed “Braciola,” immediately asked me in an altered tone if I had money to give him. When I said no, he and the other man, whom I only knew by sight, began to beat me. I had no way of escaping or sheltering myself from such violence, considering that I was in a wheelchair.

I was repeatedly hit by both of them: Pandolfi in the face with several knee strikes while the other kicked and punched me. I remember a knee in the face, at the height of the eyebrow arch, where I was starting to bleed. The only thing I could do was to protect my head with my arms while they continued. All this for at least 10 minutes until the dogs' screams interrupted the sleep of my mother, who has a hearing problem.
She came into the room and managed to lock them out. Only then did they go away, shouting that they would come back again. In fact, the next day they showed up again and on that occasion Pandolfi asked me only to give him the keys to the apartment”.
