Gragnano. An investigation has been opened into the death of Alessandro Cascone, the 13-year-old who fell from the fourth floor of a building inside a park on Via Lamma.
The judiciary, in addition to having ordered the seizure of the body for the autopsy, also seized the boy's cell phone and computer. According to an initial reconstruction, the boy, who was alone at home yesterday morning, leaned too far from the balcony of his house to fix the TV antenna.
But investigators want to see clearly because messages from a cyber bully were found on his cell phone. His death shocked his parents (he was an only child): his mother is a well-known lawyer and his father is a clothing salesman. Alessandro attended the Roncalli middle school in Gragnano, and would have been in his third year. Many messages of condolence to the family and memories on social media from relatives, friends and acquaintances.
Even the mayor of Gragnano, Nello D'Auria, wanted to express his grief: “We are close to Alessandro’s family and we join in the grief of his parents. It is too sad a day, too great a pain, too unnatural a death.” The mayor went to the site of the tragedy together with some councilors and city councilors. All events and demonstrations scheduled for yesterday and today were suspended, a day of mourning will be declared in conjunction with the day of the funeral.
