“Private Emotions. Lucio Battisti a Psychological Biography” is a precious text in the vast Battisti bibliography. The life and works of the great artist who died twenty years ago are the object of a very accurate research of information conducted through the opinions of those who knew him most closely, starting with Mogol, who in a long conversation with the author reveals many secrets of his friendship and his fertile collaboration with Lucio.
The research carried out by Amalia Mancini highlights a personality that in his external features and in his discreet behaviors as a showman did not show everyone his intimate essence, so well transmitted instead in his music. Already in the first part of the volume those themes are highlighted that will then be retraced in the second part, which analyzes the individual works: the theme of love, melancholy, freedom, nature, ecology, fear, alienation, solitude, fear of a natural and human catastrophe. "Listening means something" says Lucio, and listening again can be a stimulating and engaging operation. This book, therefore, stimulates and involves, dragging in turn the reader who is pushed to hear again the words and music of the work of Lucio Battisti, immortal in sound and memory.
“Fino all'ultima fila. Francesco De Gregori racconta dal suo pubblico” is the result of a journey in the footsteps of the Prince, which the author began when she was a teenager. Mariateresa Franza talks about herself, her relationship with music and, in particular, with De Gregori. She shows previously unpublished glimpses of her story. A diary that the university professor originally from Nocera Inferiore opens to other fans, to De Gregori's public. Each one, with short or longer writings, tells of the encounter with the singer-songwriter. Enriching the story of Franza and many fans of the Prince is Guido Guglielminetti. The bassist, De Gregori's bandleader as the singer-songwriter himself has nicknamed him, signs the preface of the volume, writing: “A very interesting and enjoyable book, which helps me understand how much De Gregori's work was and still is important for all of us and how important poetry, music, and Italian song are. How much our intangible heritage must be defended and preserved”.
The authors will be joined by the organizational director of ..incostieraamalfitana.it Alfonso Bottone and the writer Raffaele Messina. Talks are planned by the writer and singer-songwriter Mino Remoli.
