He tries to bribe the highway patrol officers: a sixty-five-year-old Italian citizen truck driver arrested.
At around 21.50 pm on 11.10.2022, officers from the Naples North Highway Police Sub-section, on the A/1 motorway in the municipality of Caivano, proceeded to check a Fiat Magirus truck with three people on board.
During the control phases the agents they charged the driver with a violation of the Highway Code since the two passengers occupying the truck did not have the right to be transported on the commercial vehicle.
Offers 100 euros to the police to “appear”
The driver, a 65 year old Italian citizen, as soon as he was informed by the agents of the violation contested and of the accessory sanction of the suspension of the vehicle registration document for one month, by contacting the cops he uttered the exact words: “Can we appear?” while simultaneously placing the sum of 100,00 euros, divided into two 50,00 euro notes, in the dashboard of the company car.
The two operators immediately proceeded to arrest the driver for the crime of incitement to corruption. Accompanied to the office, he was ordered to be taken to prison at the Naples-Poggioreale District Prison.
Of course the medium was seized and he was also charged with a series of traffic violations which were notified to him in prison.
