Pd, De Luca asks for real primaries: “Enough with the currents and the wars”. For the president of the Campania region, Vincenzo De Luca: "Everything needs to be redone. Should I run for office? Never put limits on providence"
“Letta has shown great dignity and political honesty in taking on all responsibilities. But the problems are ancient. We showed up without an identity, programs and alliances. Years of illusions about the 'wide field', a drawing room expression to be erased”.
This is what the president of Campania, Vincenzo, states DeLuca, in an interview with La Stampa, in which he calls for real primaries and accuses the party of being a victim of currents. "I wish - he claims - that we find the courage to make a completely open congressional path, with real primaries, without current mortgages and membership card wars, and with regulatory changes if necessary".
“Over the years the Democratic Party has absorbed the worst of the great political traditions – attacks – the Dorothean factionalism, up to tribal logic, the obtuse bureaucratic centralism indifferent to the territories and to the person. All this must be swept away”.
On his political future, for which a candidacy for the secretary of the Democratic Party is hypothesized, but also a third mandate in Campania, De Luca warns: "Never place limits on providence. In the Democratic Party there must be a permanent push for political, generational and gender renewal".
